The Seneca Rocks Trail (TR 563) ascends to the North Peak of Seneca Rocks to an overlook of North Fork Valley. The trail if fairly wide with several benches for the climb, which offers a 700-foot ascent. The major appeal to the trail is the vertical ascent of the Tuscarora sandstone – a recognizable natural landmark.
From the observation platform is a rock promontory with excellent views in all directions, but be very cautious about climbing upon the rocks. A few have fallen to their deaths, so the climb is recommended for rock climbers only. Do not take a step past your comfort zone or capabilities.
